Second Life First Impressions
Second life is an interesting concept. You can meet and interact with people through the use of an avatar. I can see how this may be fun for some; but personally this is not quite my cup of tea. I have played web based games before but they are usually action oriented, not socially oriented. This game seems to be face book on steroids. I do like the flying around aspect though that is fun. My laptop does not have the power to run it properly though, it is very choppy while playing. I did go to a concert the other night. At first I thought it was just a recording; then i realized it was live, when the musician said hi to me by name. That was kind of interesting, would have never thought to attend a concert that way.

October in Review
In October we have focused on multi media. I have learned about the different aspects involved in creating the media, whether it be presentation, file size, or target audience. I think the most eye opening was how much work can go into one short clip.
As a college student I have learned, as long as you put your mind to it college is actually pretty straight forward and simple, so far. Making it to class is a must, although there are instances when it is not feasible, professors generally are quite accommodating in this. Overall I think that I am going to like college, sure beats what I was doing.
My team project has been on a back burner lately. This is one thing that my team needs to pay a lot more attention to in the near future. We know what we are doing, we just need to buckle down and get to the execution phase.
In the next two weeks I need to work on my group project. I also need to pay a lot of attention to projects for other classes. As far as i know i do not have any final exams, just projects due at the end of the semester. I think the work load in the end will be much greater, but if I start on the work now it will not seem so overwhelming later.
